Joining Our MAT
Brook Learning Trust is a small, but growing organisation with a collaborative approach and a commitment to making a contribution to local, regional and national networks beyond the Trust. Our aim is to build a balanced and sustainable network of academies in our region and to support them all to become great places for children to learn and for teachers to teach. With a strong track record of improvement and capacity for leadership and governance in place, a principled, measured approach underpins our approach for organisational growth.
Our current academies benefit from the experience and expertise contained within our central services which includes education support, HR, finance, estates and facilities management and data functions. These teams provide a robust infrastructure, deliver an exceptional service to our schools and all have an excellent understanding of our academies’ individual needs. Our principals and senior leaders meet regularly, to share new ideas, best practice: support and networking is encouraged at all levels across the Trust.
Across Brook Learning Trust there has been a three-year trend of rapid, sustained improvement in overall progress and attainment across the first three years of our sponsored academies. In the first three years of opening GCSE results at High Weald Academy went from 34% to 66% and in Ebbsfleet Academy’s first three years from 38% to 60%. The Hayesbrook School achieved its best ever set of KS4 results in 2016, with 64% of the boys gaining gaining a good pass in both English and mathematics compared with a national average of 58%.
