This month, Thomas Potter and Will Bennett, both Year 10 students, helped a driver who had broken down in her car outside The Ebbsfleet Academy. The car was blocking the road leading out of the school, so the two 15-year-olds helped push the car out of the school gates fast enough for the driver to bump start it.

The boys didn’t know the woman who was driving the car, they simply stopped to help because they saw she was in need.

Thomas and Will said: “When we saw the stranded driver we thought we should help, or at least give it a go, so we asked the driver if she would like a hand and she was very grateful that we did.”

This is a great example of how our students go above and beyond, even for members of the community they don’t know. We hope to continue to develop such character in our students and commend Thomas and Will’s actions.
