Late last year The High Weald Academy won 17 awards over two fatstock shows, with the High Weald Farm Team gaining the most points overall for Maidstone’s Centenary show.

The next major event for the farm will be the annual High Weald lambing weekend held on the 14th and 15th March. It is set to be a fantastic day out with food, drinks and raffles as well as the main farming event.
Entrance is £2 per person with under 3s free. The show is fully accessible with hand washing facilities and disabled toilets. All funds raised support the farm. The farm will be open from 10am to 4.30pm each day.

The late winter and early spring months have been an incredibly busy time for High Weald Academy farm, with DEFRA inspections to pass and new stock to be bought. Two very generous sponsorships were obtained from the Kent Agricultural Society and Gallagher Farms Ltd. The farm also welcomed a new four-month-old calf named Pearl last month. She is a welcome addition to the Academy’s thriving farm.
