The Hayesbrook School’s Daniel Tulett had a great summer, which saw him winning the national road racing title and circuit series crown, as well as the mountain bike series title. The 12-year-old has already hit the ground running this winter.

Not only has Daniel been dominating his own age group in the UK, he is taking on the best in Europe, as well as stepping up and beating riders three or four years older than him. He has already won the opening two rounds of the cyclo-cross series!

To underline just how good his current form is, Daniel won the East/West Flanders Regional Championship by an impressive minute and a half, with younger brother Ben also winning whilst competing in Belgium.

Daniel’s mum said: “When he was at the regional mountain bike championships, some of the older riders started calling him the Mighty Atom. He is doing really well and gaining confidence all the time.”

We wish both Daniel and Ben the continuing success that we’re sure their talent and hard work will bring.
